PVC Wallpaper Sticker
Peel-and-stick wall film needs a very smooth, clean surface. Work slowly, expose only a small amount of adhesive at a time and avoid stretching the material.
Tools & materials
Tape measure and level
Sharp snap knife and spare blades
Plastic squeegee with soft edge
Straightedge
Lint-free cloth and approved cleaner
Low-tack tape
Before you begin
Test adhesion on the actual painted surface. Fresh paint must fully cure, and textured, dusty or damp walls may not provide reliable adhesion.

Common questions about PVC Wallpaper Sticker
What wall finish works best for PVC wallpaper sticker?
A smooth, clean, dry and fully cured painted surface gives the best result. Texture, dust, grease, peeling paint and some low-VOC or stain-resistant coatings can reduce adhesion.
Should I test adhesion before covering the wall?
Yes. Apply a small piece in an inconspicuous area, leave it for the recommended period and check both adhesion and paint condition during removal.
How do I prevent bubbles and wrinkles?
Expose only a small amount of liner at a time and smooth from the centre outward with a soft squeegee. Keep the film relaxed and reposition early rather than stretching it.
Can the sticker be repositioned during installation?
Many films allow limited repositioning before firm pressure is applied, but tack increases with time. Lift gently and evenly to avoid stretching or creasing the material.
Should the seams overlap or butt together?
Use the seam method specified for the film and pattern. Plan the direction of light, match the print carefully and keep the overlap consistent when one is required.
How are corners and edges finished?
Work the film into corners gradually without overstretching. Use a sharp blade and straightedge for clean edges, and seal only when the product instructions call for it.
Will removal damage the paint?
It can, especially on fresh, weak or poorly prepared paint. Warm the film gently if permitted, peel back slowly at a low angle and test the removal method first.
Can PVC wallpaper sticker be used in a bathroom?
Use it only on a suitable dry wall surface with good ventilation. Avoid direct shower spray, standing water and uncured or damp walls, and do not use it as waterproofing.
