Common questions about PS Fluted Panels
Can PS fluted panels be installed with adhesive?
A compatible adhesive can be used on a clean, dry and flat interior wall. Add approved mechanical support where the substrate, panel weight or location requires it.
How should PS panels be cut?
Use a fine-tooth blade or cutting tool suitable for polystyrene. Support the panel, use light pressure and test the cut to avoid melting, cracking or chipping the finished face.
How flat does the wall need to be?
Correct significant unevenness before installation. A flat wall improves full adhesive contact and keeps long flutes and joints visually straight.
How do I keep the joints aligned?
Mark a plumb starting line and check every panel with a level as you proceed. Dry-fit the final panel and trims so small errors do not accumulate across the wall.
Which trims should be planned before installation?
Plan inside corners, outside corners, end caps and transition trims before fixing the first panel. Confirm whether each trim installs behind, beside or over the panel edge.
Can PS fluted panels be used in damp areas?
Use them only where the selected product, adhesive and edge treatment are approved. They do not replace waterproofing in showers or other continuously wet locations.
How do I cut around outlets?
Turn off and verify the circuit, transfer measurements from fixed reference lines and make a neat opening with the correct clearance. Have electrical modifications completed by a qualified electrician.
Do PS panels need acclimation?
Keep the panels flat and protected in normal indoor conditions before installation. Avoid fitting material immediately after extreme temperature exposure and follow the product guidance.
