Common questions about PU Leather Panels
What wall preparation is required for PU leather panels?
The surface should be clean, dry, flat and stable. Smooth visible high spots and remove dust, grease or loose paint so each padded panel sits evenly.
Which adhesive should I use?
Use an adhesive approved for the panel backing and substrate. Test it on an offcut, follow the open time and avoid applying so much that it squeezes onto the finished face.
How do I plan a symmetrical panel layout?
Find the wall centre, account for outlets and edge cuts, and dry-layout the pattern before installation. Balanced cuts at both sides usually look more intentional than a narrow final piece.
Can PU leather panels be cut on site?
Cut only when the product design allows it. Use a sharp tool appropriate for the backing, protect the face and place cut edges where a trim or adjoining surface can finish them cleanly.
How do I keep seams consistent?
Use level reference lines and temporary spacers where appropriate. Install a small area at a time and check the pattern from several viewing angles before the adhesive sets.
How are corners and exposed edges finished?
Use compatible trims, wrapped edges or another approved detail. Dry-fit the finish first so the padded face is not crushed and no raw backing remains exposed.
Can the panels be installed near heat or moisture?
Keep them away from temperatures, steam and moisture levels outside the product rating. Confirm clearance from fireplaces, heaters and cooking areas and provide suitable room ventilation.
How should the panels be cleaned after installation?
Remove installation dust with a soft dry cloth. Use only cleaners approved for PU leather and avoid solvents, abrasive pads and soaking seams or edges.
